Customized MS14101-12 and MS14101-14 ToolKit for a Learjet Plane

One of the great things about Smith Machine and Tool, LLC. is our ability to stock standard mil-spec tools year-round. This allows customers to select from a wide range of drill press or arbor press tools and corresponding portable versions. We provide impressive lead times, superior quality, extensive end-user knowledge, and world-class customer service.

For a Learjet plane this kit was hand-picked for bearing repair and replacement by the customer. This kit is unique because the customer chose the bearings and which tools they wanted. Due to the size of these tools we chose to package them in a water-tight, crush-proof Pelican case. The portable tooling included in this kit are our portable tri-roller swaging tool, portable bearing cutting tool, portable install, and proof-load, and removal tool for bearings MS14101-12 and MS14101-14. As part of our customer service we included extra hardware for the install, proof-load and removal tools, as well as a wrench so the bearing cutting tools can be used by hand. The Futek and Starrett that were requested had up to date calibration so our customer could immediately use it for their AOG job.

Whether it’s an airplane on the ground (AOG) or custom tool request, what takes our competitors weeks, we deliver in a few days. Due to precision machining we are able to manufacture our tools in house in record time. We only use the highest quality O1 and M42 tool steel. All our tools go through a certified heat treatment process. After that our tools are coated in either black oxide or Crosal Plus coating. M42 and Crosal Plus are available upon request. Another service we offer all our customers is a regrind service on all our cutters.
